How to Start a Team

FCML has grown considerably since it was founded and always welcomes new members.

Each school is represented by a team of 6 students, referred to as the school’s “A-team.” The A-team can include at most three seniors and at most five seniors and juniors combined.

A student may participate on the high school team if that student is currently taking a math course at that high school. The student may take the course remotely or in person, but the course must be taught by a teacher who teaches at the high school and it must be administered as a course at the high school.

Additionally, schools may bring an unlimited number of additional students, referred to as the “B-team.” B-team scores do not count toward the school rankings.

To start a team, gather students at your school who enjoy math and like solving math problems. Give them practice problems from past FCML matches, which can be found here. To enroll your team in FCML, please contact us at fcmathleague@gmail.com.

The cost per year of membership of FCML may be found on the invoice, which is available on the coaches’ downloads page.
